
Man collared for loose gun while eating ‘pares’
SAN JOSE CITY – A man partaking in food at a beef “pares” joint here was nabbed for allegedly possessing an unlicensed pistol early Monday morning.
City police head Lt. Col. Palmyra Guardaya identified the arrested suspect as Mark Joshua Quezon, 23, single, of Zone 1, Bgy. Sibut, this city.
Police arrested the suspect at the Alfonso Beef Pares Eatery along Bonifacio Street, Bgy. Rafael Rueda Sr. at 2:30 a.m.
Confiscated from his possession was a homemade cal. 45 with a magazine containing six bullets.
Guardaya said the suspect is now locked up behind bars facing charges of violation of R.A. 10591 and the Omnibus Election Code (gun ban) before the City Prosecutor’s Office. By Steve A. Gosuico
