LAND Transportation Office (LTO) chief Asst. Secretary Vigor Mendoza II urged school authorities to include the agency’s state-of-the-art road safety facility in educational tour visits.

Mendoza on Monday, officially opened the Road Safety Interactive Center (RSIC) a facility that offers the public and students educational and interactive stations complete with driving simulators for both two and four-wheeled vehicles.

Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, a known advocate of road safety, graced the ceremony. He said that RSIC will be a big help to the public and students to understand, create awareness, and follow road safety and traffic rules through modern technology and interactive infotainment.

Mendoza emphasized to elementary and high school officials how important the essence of road courtesy, discipline, and safety, to young students.

RSIC has designed games on road signs, warnings, and other regulatory signage aside from having a 4D mini theater that shows informative videos on child safety, teen driving, pedestrian safety, vehicle theft prevention, and types of public utility vehicles.

Stressing that road safety is an integral part of everyone’s life, Mendoza cited its importance hence the need to start introducing this the children as early as possible.
