LAND Transportation Office (LTO) chief Asst. Secretary Vigor Mendoza II has expressed confidence that the agency is on the right track of achieving its revenue collection target for 2025 after it collected over P8.3 billion in the first quarter of this year.

Mendoza was quick to attribute the high revenue collection to strategic policy implementation that ensures transaction efficiency and the aggressive implementation of road safety rules and regulations.

“Malaki ang revenue target ng LTO ngayong taon at hindi naman ito basta na lang napag-isipan dahil naniniwala kami na kayang-kaya namin itong ma-achieve,” he said.

For 2025, the LTO set P34 billion as revenue target.

As of March 31, the agency’s collection has already reached a total of P8,373,775,537.

According to Mendoza, there is a need for revenue collection efficiency as this would generate funds that will not only further improve the services of the LTO but also provide more funds in all the government programs and projects that will benefit the Filipino people, particularly the poor and the needy.

Mendoza lauded all the employees of the LTO for their dedication and hard work in the past three months for revenue collection efficiency.

Mendoza’s leadership does not only focus on the improvement of services but also ensuring the morale of the LTO personnel, one of them is the initiating moves for job security.
