LTO opens new district office in Pangasinan

THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) has opened another district office in Pangasinan just in time when additional works, including the distribution of more license plates, are to be loaded in the coming days.

According to LTO chief Asst. Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, the LTO-Binalonan District Office will benefit millions of people in the province as the agency has further expanded its services by making all transactions fast and comfortable to the clients.

“This is one of the best district offices that I visited. And the construction and the opening of this district office is timely because in the coming days, we have additional work to do, which include the distribution of more license plates,” he stressed.

During the inauguration last Monday, the LTO chief revealed that more offices will be opened and rehabilitated in line with the vision of President Marcos Jr. through Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon to have more offices that will complement the digital shift of the agency.

Mendoza also lauded LTO-Region 1 Director Glorioso Daniel Martinez for exerting all the efforts to maximize the best support system for the new agency’s office.

He also praised Pangasinan 5th district Rep. Ramon Guico Jr., Pangasinan Gov. Ramon Guico III, and Binolanan Mayor Ramon Ronald Guico IV for all the assistance they extended to make the LTO-Binalonan District Office – from finding ways to find a good location, the donation of the land to the construction of the building.

In his speech, Rep. Guico narrated the challenges they faced along with the local LTO officials in accommodating the new district office in Binalonan. He also emphasized Mendoza’s efforts to bring the best services to the people of Pangasinan.

Mendoza said new district offices will be constructed in Pototan, Iloilo; San Dionisio, Iloilo; Padre Garcia, Batangas; Nabua, Camarines Sur; and, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat.

The extension and satellite offices in these areas will be converted to district offices: Catanauan, Quezon; San Pascual, Batangas; Bug, Zamboanga Sibugay; San Miguel, Iloilo; Dolores, Eastern Samar; Pili, Camarines, Sur; Ilog, Negros Occidental; Rodriguez, Rizal; Naic, Cavite; and, San Jacinto in Ticao Island of Masbate.

The LTO District Office in Naga City will be upgraded to a Class A District Office while the District Office in Agoo, La Union will be upgraded from Class C to Class B.

Meanwhile, the district offices of Lamut in Ifugao; in Alaminos, Pangasinan; and in Mati, Davao Oriental will have an upgrade.
