THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) will be embarking on a historical endeavor of collecting P43 billion in revenue for this year through an aggressive information drive and implementation of strategies that will convince more delinquent vehicle owners to renew their registration and for others to renew their registration on time.

In his speech during the Monday, January 15, flag-raising ceremony, LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II explained that the revenue collection target is essential in funding not only the programs and projects of the agency but also those of the administration of President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. through the “Bagong Pilipinas” vision.

The P43 billion revenue target this year is around 28 percent higher than the P31 billion target in 2023—which made it historical for the agency since it is the first time that the LTO increased its collection goal by such a huge number.

“The revenue target is very high but this is not the first time that we confront what seems to be an impossible task to achieve. Nagawa na natin ito sa ibang bagay, and with our continuous cooperation and hard work, I am sure that we will achieve another milestone by accomplishing this task,” Mendoza told LTO employees.
