‘Loyalty check’
THE results of the 2025 mid-term elections will be crucial to the success of the administration of President Marcos.
If known critics and their allies win, they are seen to do everything to undermine the Marcos administration.
Without doubt, they don’t want President Marcos to succeed in improving the living conditions of the people, notably the poor.
There’s a need to ensure that local candidates being supported by the administration should never waltz with relatives of known critics of President Marcos.
It is public knowledge that some local politicians are forced to work in unison with relatives of critics of the government.
And there are reports that some relatives of critics are in the ticket of local candidates being supported by the administration.
“Sa kagustuhan nilang manalo ay lihim silang nakikipag-tanggo sa mga kalaban ng administrayon,” an irate supporter of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez in Alcala, Pangasinan.
The supporter, a native of Tacloban City in Leyte but married to an Alcalenean, said:
“Dapat magkaroon ng ‘loyalty check’ sa mga lokal na kandidato para masigurado ang kanilang katapatan sa administrasyon.”
We share the view of the avid supporter of the workaholic and dedicated House leader.
