FORMER Vice President Leni Robredo expressed her gratitude to senatorial candidate Erwin Tulfo for his continuous help to the Bicol Region, particularly Naga and for assuring his support to the Angat Buhay Foundation Inc., especially when he was still the secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Tulfo visited Roberedo’s home in Naga last Saturday, after finishing is market tour at the Naga People’s Mall, the primary public market in the city, where the residents gave him a warm welcome.

Robredo also welcomed him to her home and prepared a simple lunch meal that was shared during their conversation.

Robredo recalled that Tulfo and the ACT-CIS Partylist were quick to respond after Typhoon “Kristine” hit in 2024, wherein they donated 2,000 sacks of rice and P1 million cash assistance to those affected by the calamity.

Robredo also pointed out that Tulfo also played an important role, when he was still the head of the DSWD, in the speedy accreditation of Angat Buhay at the time when the organization was just starting out in 2022.

Kapag pumupunta kami sa lugar at may sakuna, laging merong coordination with DSWD kaya grateful naman ako” added the founder of the Angat Buhay Foundation.

In return, Tulfo also thanked Robredo for the friendly welcome and for showing that she valued his public service.

Cong. Erwin Tulfo said, “We really appreciate that na-appreciate ni VP Leni ang ginawa natin noon. Since then, I believe that this is the best practice: Huwag ka tumingin sa kulay. Kasi kapag tumingin ka sa kulay, walang mangyayari, kawawa, may maiiwan. Kailangan, tingnan mo ang lahat. At the end of the day, we are all Filipinos so we need to set aside political colors.”

PANGASINAN OFFICIALS, IN FULL SUPPORT FORT ERWIN TULFO AND ALYANSA AS SENATORS

Leaders of Pangasinan officially announced their full support for Erwin Tulfo and the other candidates of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas for the upcoming 2025 Elections.

Alyansa’s strength grew after getting the strong support from Pangasinan— one of the “vote rich” provinces that has 2.15 million registered voters and had a high 87.18 % voter turnout during the 2022 elections.

During the sortie of Alyansa in Dagupan City, the officials of the province were united in their promising that they would bring the entire Alyansa slate to the Senate.

Among those who expressed their strong support were Dagupan City Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, Vice Mayor Dean Bryan Kua, Pangasinan Fourth District Representative Toff De Venecia, and former Congresswoman Gina de Venecia.

It is perceived that getting an endorsement in Pangasinan will strengthen their campaign, especially since it was only recently when leaders in Pampanga and Quirino— two provinces also known for having a high number of voters— relayed their solid support for Tulfo.

As one of the frontrunner candidates for senator, Tulfo will prioritize improving health services, creating more jobs and livelihood, will give due honor to the services of barangay officials and employees, and to give more support to the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families.
