‘Larga road’ to dev’t breaks ground
HUNDREDS of local citizens witnessed the “historic” groundbreaking ceremony of the Mabini-Bauan-San Luis-Taal-Lemery Connectivity Road held in Barangay Dulangan San Luis on Friday, April 28.
The P5.3 billion coastal road project is eyed to develop and boost the tourism industry in Batangas province.
The ceremony was attended by Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan; Representative Ralph G. Recto, House Deputy Speaker/6th District of Batangas; Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos; Congresswoman Lanie Mercado-Revilla, Cavite 2nd District.
Also in attendance were Usec. Chito Valmocina, DILG Barangay Affairs; Batangas Governor Hermilando “Dodo” Mandanas; Congresswoman Atty. Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro, 2nd District of Batangas; and Mayor Oscarlito Hernandez of San Luis.
