La Union councilor, farmer yield rifle grenade, gun

CAMP GEN FLORENDO, La Union — An incumbent town councilor surrendered Sunday a live rifle grenade in Brgy. Poblacion, Santol, La Union while a farmer yielded his gun in San Gabriel.

Based on a police report reaching here, Claudio Galos Jr., 49, Sanggunian Bayan Member and resident of Bgy. Coro-oy, Santol, surrendered a grenade rifle, 40 mm HE with bul trap, M-76 AVA-0011-80 and rifle grenade case.

The items are now under the custody of the PNP station for proper disposal.

Meanwhike, Rodolfo Pangilinan, 45, married, farmer and a resident of Bgy. Lon-oy, San Gabriel, La Union, surrendered a loose firearm to San Gabriel police.

Police described the gun as a homemade .45 caliber (wampong) without markings. The firearm is now under the custody of the Ps for proper disposition.
