‘Jobless’ man dies in Batangas road mishap

A 21-YEAR-OLD jobless man died after the motorcycle he was driving accidentally collided with a parked vehicle along the road in Barangay Binubusan, Lian, Batangas, the other day.

Lian Municipal Police Station (MPS) case investigator P/Cpl. Brian F. Derain identified the fatality as John Christian Bulisay, single, a resident of Bgy. Binubusan, Lian.

Lian MPS received a cellphone call around 11:50 p.m. coming from a concerned citizen and reported the incident.

Initial investigation revealed that at about 11:50 in the evening, the victim went to a friend’s house in Bgy. Binubusan, after a drinking spree, was seen driving a Suzuki Smash motorcycle.

While driving, the victim accidentally hit the rear portion of one Nissan Sentra bearing while parked unattended on the road’s right shoulder.

Due to the heavy impact, the victim sustained a head injury and fractured his right leg and was immediately brought by the responding Lian Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) team to Apacible Memorial District Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Andy Art Clement Decretales.
