Jealous husband kills wife, 2 kids
AN envious husband slaughtered his wife and their two children before committing suicide in Tupi, South Cotabato.
Town police chief Maj. Rafael Bangay Jr. identified the suspect as Allan Dinal, 37; while the victims Beverly Dinal, 27, and her two sons aged 5 and 2, of Sitio Glandiang, Bgy. Kablon in Tupi town.
Beverly and the kids suffered multiple stab wounds.
Prior to the discovery of the victims’ and the suspect’s bodies, relatives and neighbors heard the couple fighting and the children crying.
The quarrel lasted for almost two hours followed by silence.
A sibling of Allan went to the Dinals’ house to check and was shocked to see Beverly and the children bloodied and dead on the bed.
The suspect was found lying on the floor bloodied, with the knife still stuck in his chest.
Police are eyeing jealousy as the motive for the massacre and the suicide.
An investigation showed the suspect was assigned to work in another place and when he returned home, he noticed changes in his wife.
The jealousy deepened when the wife allegedly started to hide her cellphone and put a password, making it difficult for the husband to open the gadget.
