A 36-YEAR-OLD jail officer on Saturday was hurt in a road crash and reported that his service pistol was “missing” in Barangay Banilad, Nasugbu, Batangas.

The cop is a jail guard assigned to the holding cell of the Nasugbu Municipal Police Station (MPS).

The vehicular incident transpired around 12:15 a.m. at Bgy. Banilad, according to a resident who reported it to the police.

Initial investigation showed the victim was seen driving a Yamaha Aerox motorcycle from Cavite traversing Nasugbu town direction and descending towards the sharply curved road, suddenly lost control of the motorcycle, swerved, and landed on the pavement.

A local resident helped and rushed him to the Apacible Memorial District Hospital.

Luckily, he only sustained minor injuries, and after the procedures at the hospital, he was assisted by JO1 Von Arbie Guan to proceed to the place of the incident.

He recovered his motorcycle and other personal belongings. However, his issued cal. .9mm pistol Tanfoglio is missing, believed to be thrown away, and cannot be located after a diligent search.
