It’s back to work, school
AFTER the long vacation, workers in the government and private sector return to work today.
Classes also resume in public and private schools, colleges and universities across the country.
But in some areas, state and school officials are forced to suspend face-to-face (F2F) classes.
In public school buildings, many classrooms are not equipped with air-conditioning units or electric fans.
Reports said the extreme heat being experienced by Filipinos is due to the worsening of climate change.
And in Metropolitan Manila (MM) and surrounding towns and cities, crippling traffic jams are also expected to be back.
“With the return of workers and students, it’s back to normal again in the heavily-populated MM,” a local traffic enforcer said.
As President Marcos said in his Holy Week message to the people, notably the motorists, “Ang kailangan ay habaan na lang natin ang ating pasensiya.”
Sa init ng panahon, ang talagang kawawa dito ay yong mga pulis at ibang traffic enforcers na kailangang nasa daan para ayusin ang daloy ng trapiko.
Oo nga naman.
