HINILING ng Magdalo group sa Marcos administration na payagan ang mga imbestigador ng International Criminal Court (ICC) na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon sa bansa kaugnay ng madugong war on drugs ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

“We, the Magdalo group, are urging the Marcos administration to allow the ICC investigators into the country in order to make ex-president Rodrigo Duterte accountable for his crimes against humanity,” sabi ng pahayag ng Magdalo na inilabas ni dating Senador Antonio Trillanes IV.

“This is in light of Mr. Duterte’s recent public admission that he used his Confidential/Intelligence funds to conduct extra-judicial killings on his constituents in Davao City when he was still its mayor,” ayon pa sa pahayag.

Si Trillanes ay isa sa mga orihinal na naghain ng kaso laban kay Duterte sa ICC noong 2017.

“Being the original filers of the ICC case in 2017, we have witnessed and documented the barbaric actions of the past administration, as well as the trauma and hardships that the thousands of victims and their families have suffered. Truly, Justice is long overdue,” dagdag pa ng pahayag.

Matatandaan na ipinag-utos ng noon ay Pangulong Duterte ang pag-alis ng Pilipinas sa ICC matapos itong maglungsad ng imbestigasyon kaugnay ng mga pagpatay umano, bilang bahagi ng kampanya ng kanyang gobyerno laban sa ipinagbabawal na gamot kung saan may mga inosente umanong nadamay.
