THE weekly flag-raising rites obligatory held during Monday mornings in all government offices, local government units (LGUs), schools and colleges, and other government entities is a symbol of every Filipino’s love for himself/herself and the country.

This was the gist of the message delivered by Deputy Speaker and Rep. Camille Villar during a recent flag-raising ceremony of the Caloocan City LGU where she was invited as guest speaker.

“Kahit isa itong ‘routine’ na bagay, it is very important for us to honor and cherish even the simplest of traditions.

In closing, Rep. Villar urged the residents of Caloocan City to continue to care and promote their culture.

Rep. Villar was invited to the weekly event by the Caloocan Cultural Affairs & Tourism Office with the support of the city government led by Mayor Along Malapitan.
