LAPU-LAPU City-ARQ Builders made it two wins in a row by beating Dumaguete City Warriors, 67-57, in the 2021 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas Vis-Min Cup basketball championship at the Alcantara Sports and Civic Center in Cebu Province.

Ferdinand Lusdoc and Reed Juntila provided the clutch baskets for the Heroes, who held their ground against the Warriors’ gallant stand to secure their second straight win in the seven-team tournament sanctioned by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB).

Dumaguete dropped to 0-2.

Lusdoc finished with a team-high 14 points. three rebounds, one assist and one steal for Lapu-Lapu, which debuted with a 75-61 win over Tabogon Voyagers.

Juntilla sturck hardest in the third quarter, hitting several mid-range jumpers and scoring eight of his 12 points to push the Heroes ahead for good.

ARQ coach Francis Auquico lauded Juntilla’s strong showing in the game.

“Si Reed (Juntilla), inaasahan talaga namin yung scoring niya, I’m glad that he delivered when we needed him.”said Auquico.

Nikki Monteclaro carried the fight for Dumaguete with 20 points, inclyding six tgrwe-poibters, followed by Mark Doligon with 12 points and Nacpil with 10 points and 11 rebounds
