Her dog looks like Bette Davis, says Demi Moore

HOLLYWOOD actress Demi Moore, who once played an important villain role in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003), is now accompanied by her nine dogs – the reason she has a complicated nighttime routine and why she is single.
The star of director Coralie Fargeat’s ‘The Substance’ has been promoting her latest horror thriller around the world and so far, before the film officially opens on September 18, Demi has been receiving rave reviews for her fearless performance.
Demi’s most recent appearance was in ‘The Tonight Show’ hosted by Jimmy Fallon. Aside from promoting her latest film, Demi happily talked about her adorable accessory that she takes everywhere. Her tiny chihuahua, Pilaf.
NBC covered Demi’s recent guesting on Jimmy Fallon’s show. “This is Pilaf, the little mouse and she’s a pound and a half,” Demi introduced the dog to Jimmy. “She’s the runt of her litter.”
Jimmy showed a photo of Demi with Pilaf, the precious puppy. “She’s a magical creature.”
When Jimmy met Pilaf backstage, he noticed how the doggie’s tongue stays hanging out of her mouth. “She lost the teeth that holds it in,” Demi granted. “But it’s part of her charm.
“I was told that Pilaf was here to teach me a new way to walk and I think it’s working,” Demi added. “Seriously, I was.”
Not surprisingly, Pilaf is also a super model, the way she escorts one of Hollywood’s biggest and most recognized stars. Pilaf graced the cover of Vogue’s issue all about dogs, Dogue.
“I think Pilaf looks like a cross between a goldfish and Bette Davis,” Demi told Vogue during Pilaf’s cover shoot.
The paparazzi has taken snaps of Pilaf wherever she goes to all year round whenever Demi takes her to everywhere.
“Pilaf has been to Broadway shows, the French Open, museums, art openings, restaurants,” shared Demi in Vogue. “She’s a service animal, so she’s allowed to go to everywhere.
“She’s flown to Europe 14 times amazingly. Pilaf has even been to Saturday Night Live.”
As most fans know, Pilaf is just one of nine doggies of Demi, but one that is most dear to her. While Demi was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the latter also shared a video of the actress coming home and being greeted by her nine pooches.
“That’s like a cartoon,” Jimmy pointed out. “That’s like The Secret Life of Pets.”
Demi also shared that her dogs sleep in her bed with her and getting all nine of them ready for bedtime is quite an ordeal she had to endure every night.
“If any body saw my nighttime routine, if it was filmed, they would really see how eccentric I really am,” Demi disclosed. “I have to prop pillows, so the ones that are this size have the ability to get under the covers.
“I have two beds for the little ones and they have the beds within the bed,” Demi added. “Hence why I’m single.”
In The Substance, Demi plays Elisabeth Sparkle, popular for her aerobics show but faces a devastating blow on her 50th birthday as her boss fires her.
Amid her distress, a laboratory offers her a substance which promises to transform her into an enhanced version of herself.
An early review of The Substance disclosed the film is one of the “most assured, intelligent, evocative and haunting horror films in a long time.”
Elisabeth was an Oscar-winning actress, but as she has aged out of A-list film roles, she has become a TV fitness guru, instead. From bright, shiny and new, she has turned to weather beaten, trod upon and cracked – a chilling allegory of a woman’s fate in showbiz.
She does not even have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame when she was one of the highest paid actresses on the silver screen.
The film is a big budget, two-hour, 20-minute Twilight Zone episode. As director Coralie Fargeat said, The Substance is a mix of Robert Zemeckis’ Death Becomes Her, David Cronenberg’s The Fly, Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining even Jane Fonda’s workout videos.
That was how the San Francisco Chronicle described The Substance.
