Good news
DON’T look now, but the Philippines, a Southeast Asian nation of more than 110 million people, is ranked as the seventh “fastest-growing remote work hub” in the world.”
This is according to the “Nomad List,” a platform with over 10,000 members, who log tbe places where they are working, said the Presidential Communications Office (PCO.
PCO Secretary Cheloy Garatil said the list of the top 10 ideal destinations in Asia, South America and Europe was posted on the World Economic Forum’s Instagram account.
Tokyo, Japan topped the list, followed by Danang, Vietnam; Seoul, South Korea; Kuala Lumpur and Penang, both in Malaysia. The others are Montevideo, Uruguay (6th), Hanoi, Vietnam (8th), Ho Chi Minh City (9th) and Ljubljana, Slovenia (10th).
“Nomad List” found the 10 countries the “best places” in the world to live, work and travel as a remote worker, collecting data points, from cost of living, temperature to safety.
Last year, based on its official website, more than four million people across the globe used “Nomad List” to find 1,368 cities in over 190 countries to live and work.
Garafil said the Philippines is also ideal for business because of its sustained economic growth rate, current bureaucratic reforms and the administration’s ongoing thrust for infrastructure development and digitalization.
Of course, well-meaning Filipinos want all sectors of Philippine society to now work in unison to help President Marcos’ administration in achieving its socio-economic goals.
Thus, everybody ought to give the Ilocano Chief Executive all the help he needs to be able to transform the Philippines into a prosperous nation.
Thus, we have no choice but to support the national government if we are to succeed in urging foreign nationals to invest, work or live in this nation of more than 7,000 islands.
