THE Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) has officially endorsed Sheen Gonzales as its candidate for Eastern Samar’s lone congressional seat and Ralph Vincent “RV” Evardone as its gubernatorial bet in the upcoming May 12 midterm elections, running under the banner “Solido para Progreso.”

The endorsement took place at a proclamation rally in Dolores, Eastern Samar, where party leaders and supporters gathered in a strong show of unity.

Gonzales, who previously served as Eastern Samar vice governor and mayor of Guiuan, is the son-in-law of House Minority Leader and 4Ps party-list Rep. Marcelino “Nonoy” Libanan.

Meanwhile, RV Evardone is the son of outgoing Eastern Samar Gov. Ben Evardone, who also serves as PFP’s regional chairperson.

Gonzales underscored the importance of political unity in driving progress for Eastern Samar.

“Political unity is the key to unlocking economic development and improving the quality of life for our people,” Gonzales stated.

He emphasized the need for leaders who prioritize public service over political interests.

“Our communities deserve leaders who put people over politics. When we unite around common goals—like economic opportunity, better schools, and accessible healthcare—we create a future that benefits everyone, not just a select few,” Gonzales added.

He also called for collaborative leadership in addressing the province’s challenges.

“By bringing together diverse perspectives and working hand in hand, we can craft policies that promote job creation, infrastructure development, and a thriving local economy,” he said.
