GOING STRONG
WITH less than a month remaining before the May 12 mid-term elections, nine administration-supported senatorial candidates have the big chances of winning the elections, based on the latest survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) and commissioned by the Stratbase Group.
The nationwide survey was carried out from April 11 to 15, 2025, and polled 1,800 registered voters. Respondents were asked who they would most likely vote for if the elections were held during the survey period. The poll has a ±2.31% margin of error.
However, Senator Bong Go of PDP-Laban emerged as the frontrunner with 45 percent of respondents expressing support— an increase of three percentage points from the previous month.
He was followed closely by ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo, who ranked second with 43 percent voter preference.
The competition among candidates in the 3rd to 12th places remains highly competitive, with only marginal differences— ranging from 2 to 3 percentage points— well within the survey’s margin of error.
The other eight candidates of Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas are Senator Lito Lapid; former Senate President Tito Sotto; Senator Pia Cayetano; Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr.; Makati Mayor Abby Binay; Las Pinas Rep. Camille Villar; former Sen. Panfilo Lacson and former Senator Manny Pacquiao.
Also included in the Top 12 are Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa and Ben Tulfo.
Those outside the winning circle are TV host Willie Revillame; Senator Imee Marcos, and former senators Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan.
