GenTriseño scholars get educational aid

GENERAL TRIAS CITY (GenTri), Cavite – More than 1,000 existing Gentriseño scholars and 500 new scholars who applied online were granted P3,000 educational assistance for college students by the city government of General Trias, for the 1st semester of the School Year (SY) 2022-2023 during the simple rites held at GenTri Convention Center here on December 29, 2022.

Mayor Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV, together with Cavite 6th District Congressman Antonio Ferrer, Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen, and Team GenTri, led the distribution of educational assistance.

“Ang programa pong ito ay tuloy-tuloy po para sa ating mga mag-aaral dito sa General Trias, para makatulong makadagdag sa panggastos nila sa kanilang pag-aaral,” Mayor Jon-Jon said.

Cavite 1st District Cong. Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III spearheaded the distribution of cash assistance to all college students of Kawit, Noveleta, Rosario, and Cavite City. About 13,000 registered for the educational assistance distributed last Dec. 30, 2022 at four distribution sites.

Revilla, together with Cavite City Mayor Denver Chua, Noveleta Mayor Dino Chua, Kawit Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo, and Rosario Mayor Voltaire Ricafrente, personally gave the “Iskolar ng Bayan Scholarship Program” of the 1st district.

“This program is just a demonstration of my sincerity and love for my compatriots in the First District. I fulfill my duty as your Congressman, and count on me to be with you until we make your dreams come true,” Revilla said in his speech.
