GALERIES Tower has tapped 22-year-old Brazilian outside hitter Monique Helena as its import in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.

The Highrisers injected more youth in their team with Helena, who arrived in the country on Thursday night.

This will be the first time Helena plays overseas as she will suit up for Galeries Tower seeking a breakthrough in its third conference in the PVL.

Helena previously played for numerous Brazilian clubs, beginning her career with Lavras Volei in 2017.

The Highrisers also picked up free agents Roselle Baliton and Shannen Palec during the conference.

Gone are Shola Alvarez and Norielle Ipac, who have already moved with Capital1 together with Iris Tolenada and Yumi Furukawa.

Galeries Tower will pick third overall in the PVL Rookie Draft on July 8.

The Highrisers are coming off a 10th-place finish in the 2024 All-Filipino Conference, tallying a 3-8 record.

Roma Joy Doromal, Dimdim Pacres, Ysa Jimenez, Carly Hernandez, France Ronquillo, Raprap Aguilar, Fen Emnas and libero Alyssa Eroa are still around to carry the fight for Galeries Tower.
