Former University of Snto Tomas standout Chloe Cortez has signed up with powerhouse F2 Logistics, the third team in the Premier Volleyball League to have enlisted her services.

Joining mainstays Aby Maraño and Majoy Baron in the middle, Cortez hopes to help the Cargo Movers in their initial foray in the now-professional league, which is eyeing to open its 2021 season in July.

“Her versatility as an athlete, championship experience, intense passion and vibrant personality make her one good addition!” the club said on Cortez through its social media accounts on Friday.

Cortez was supposed to make her PVL debut with Motolite last year, but the 2020 season was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 25-year old Cortez was originally set to be one of the founding members of Unlimited Athletics Club, along with her best friend Carmela Tunay in the club’s PVL debut this year.

But the reason of Cortez’s decision to leave UAC and play for F2 Logistics remains unknown.

The Cargo Movers will miss outside spiker Kalei Mau for the most of the season as the Fil-Am has signed a contract with Puerto Rico’s Liga de Voleibol Superior Femenino club Las Changas de Najanrito for two and a half months.

F2 Logistics one of the five new teams in the PVL.
