First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos distributes 83 mobile clinics
FIRST Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos vowed to bring the health care system closer to the people by providing 83 brand new modern mobile clinics to seven provinces in Central Luzon, particularly those in remote areas.
The distribution of mobile clinics is part of the collaborative effort between the First Lady and the Department of Health (DOH) and in partnership with the Department of Local Government Unit (DILG), Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Act Agri-Kaagapay Organization.
The initiative was under the First Lady’s program “Libreng Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot Para sa Lahat” or LAB which was recently launched in Manila, the health care project initiated by the supportive and compassionate wife of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
The newly donated mobile clinic is equipped with examination, laboratory, and x-ray facilities, as well as medical essentials like a patient bed, infrared thermometer, patient monitor, and a range of medical equipment, including electrocardiogram, ultrasound, cholesterol monitoring, glucose testing, and blood hematology tools.
This contribution aligns with the government’s dedication to universal health coverage, which is a crucial aspect to provide modern medical and health care to the Filipino people, specially the farmers and unfortunate Filipinos living in far-flung areas.
The First Lady has emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare for all Filipinos.
In line with this vision, the mobile clinics will play a crucial role in providing preventive health services directly to communities.
The First Lady said that through the collaborative efforts of various organizations, they will work together to build a healthier and stronger population.
She assured her commitment to support this agenda both in aligning the delivery of public services and by extending a helping hand to the public healthcare system. The mobile clinics will significantly increase the reach and accessibility of healthcare services, bringing them closer to the doorstep of Filipinos.
For her part, Act Agri-Kaagapay founder and president Virginia Rodriguez said the initiative aligns with President Marcos Jr.’s commitment to provide essential services and safeguard the health of the Filipino people.
The clinics will facilitate regular health screening through which we can identify diseases early, for early intervention which improves the quality of life for Filipinos.
The government will also have the capacity to extend the reach of immunization to the underserved far-flung areas.
