Fake PDEA agents nabbed in Cavite
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — Two bogus Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents who also claimed to be media members were arrested by
the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) during Oplan Salikop and Oplan Olea on December 13, 2021 in Cavite.
CIDG Director, Police Major General Albert Ignatius Ferro identified the arrested suspects as Carla Saylon Alumno, 37, single, of Rektang Puna News, resident of Block 11 Lot 10 Brgy. Cabuco, Trece Martires Cavite; and Jessica Salapar, 27, single, of Rektang Puna News, amd resident of the same address.
Both suspects are facing charges for robbery extortion and usurpation of authority.
Seized from Alumno were P2,940 in different denominations withdrawn from Smart Padala, a PDEA ID and Rektang Puna News RPN ID. Taken from Salapar were a PDEA ID and Rektang Puna News ID.
The suspects allegedly introduced themselves as PDEA intelligence agents and supposedly extorted money from a drug suspects’ families in exchange for their liberty.
The two suspect were turned over to the CIDG-AOCU office for documentation and proper disposition.
