Ex-barangay kagawad slain in ambush
BACOOR CITY, Cavite — A former village councilor on Friday was killed in an ambush by riding-in-tandem armed men in Bgy. Salinas 1, this city.
Slain was Eleuterio Calilung III, a resident of Bgy Salinas 2.
The ambush occurred at 5:21 p.m. on Friday.
Calilung was in his car, a Honda Civic with plate no. XBK510, passing through Bgy. Salinas 1 on way home when shot by the suspects on a black Honda Beat motorcycle.
The gunmen fled after the shooting.
Police are conducting a follow-up operation for the arrest of the suspects.
