Enderun downs UMak, CUP stuns St. Clare

ENDERUN Colleges, City University of Pasay, Our Lady of Fatima University and AMA University emerged victorious against their respective opponents in the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (NAASCU) Season 21 a the Novadeci Convention Center in Novaliches.

Enderun College leaned on the troika Jalen Garcia, Christian Malano and Joshniel Gastador to roll back University of Makati, 66-51.

Garcia finished with 12 points and eight rebounds, and Malano and Joshniel Gastador added 11 points each for Enderun.

Kenz Diokno and Enzo Montecastro led UMak’s losing effort with 15 and 10 points, respectively.

Sharing the limelight.was City University of Pasay, which rode on the hot hands of John Luigi De Leon and Warren Sienes to bring down top favorite St. Clare College of Caloocan, 75-71, in a tight and exciting battle.

De Leon carried the fight for CUP with 22 points, four assists, and two rebounds.

Sienes, for his part, came through with a double-double performance with 16 points and 11 rebounds. John Palomares contributed 12 points to the victory.

Megan Galang and Ahron Estacio scored 16 points each, while Drick Acosta added 14 points for St. Clare.

Marvel Jimenez, Mamadou Toure, and Lee Harvey Suelto guided Our Lady of Fatima University to an 81-54 triumph over Holy Angel University.

Jimenez led the way for OLFU with 18 points, four rebounds, and three assists, followed by Toure with a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Suelto with 10 points.

Mike Angelo Salgado led Holy Angel University with 13 points and four rebounds, while Ramonchito Rodriguez contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.

In the fourth game of another long and busy day, AMA University outsteadied New Era University, 70-67.

Earl Ceniza delivered an outstanding performance for AMA with 24 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Nikon Alina contributed significantly with 20 points.

Solomon Kone was the top point man for New Era with 20 markers.

Casper Pericas and Vincent Nablo added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
