‘Emong’ leaves PAR
TROPICAL depression “Emong” yesterday slightly weakened as it left the Philippine area of responsibility.
At 10 a.m. yesterday, “Emong” was last estimated 335 kms. northwest of Itbayat, Batanes.
“Emong” is moving northwest at 20 kph, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kph and gustinesss of up to 55 kph.
Moderate to rough seas will be experienced over the seaboards of Batanes and Cagayan, including Babuyan Islands.
Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services said “Emong” is forecast to continue moving northwest towards southeastern China.
