Drug peddler falls in QC sting
A 46-year-old drug peddler was arrested after he yielded P136,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust Sunday night in Quezon City.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Brig. Gen. Melecio Buslig Jr. said operatives of the Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) arrested the suspect identified as alias Christian.
In coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), a buy-bust was conducted around 9:30 p.m. on Harvard Street, near the corner of Aurora Blvd. in Bgy. E. Rodriguez.
A police officer who acted as the poseur buyer was able to buy an initial P7,000 worth of the illegal stuff before signaling a done deal.
Operatives posted around the vicinity rushed and effected the arrest of Christian.
A total of 20 grams of shabu, amounting to P136,000 were seized from suspect.
The QCPD also found out through the Investigation Solution Automatic Verification (ISAV) record check that the accused had a previous case of the same violation in March 2011.
“Pinupuri ko ang PS 10 sa kanilang mabilis, maayos, at matagumpay na operasyon. Patuloy tayong magtulungan upang tuluyang masugpo ang iligal na droga sa Quezon City,” Brig. Gen. Buslig Jr. stressed.
