Has he lost his marbles?

It’s the latest antic of Duterte who, even when he was still mayor of Davao City, I have always said would bring nothing good for the country.

I have been bashed by Dutertards because of my column which exposed his flaws as a leader.

I have warned that Duterte would only bring our country and our people so much pain and suffering.

But many Filipinos were easily swayed and saw his braggadocio in a positive light.

I was right.

During the two-year Covid pandemic billions of pesos was lost through overpriced Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ghost PhilHealth claims, overpriced Covid tests and overall mismanagement.

Remember Pharmally scandal?

Under Duterte’s leadership the Philippines quickly doubled its foreign and domestic debts to a whopping P12.68 trillion, towards the end of his presidency in 2022, from a P5.9 trillion debt that was accumulated for nearly four decades.

Also during the Duterte administration, ABS-CBN was shut down in a congressional inquisition.

Noteworthy, too, is the treatment of presidential son Pulong whose congressional district in Davao City was allotted a total of P51 billion in just three years.

In recent days many parts of Davao City have been flooded, raising the question of how Pulong’s P51 billion budget allotment was spent.

It is unfortunate that people allow themselves to be defrauded and get a government no Filipino deserves. By Gil Bugaoisan
