Dapat serbisyong may malasakit
RECOGNIZING the critical role of barangay officials in delivering accessible services of the government to the community, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go personally attended the Liga ng mga Barangay Cluster 5 National Congress on Tuesday, October 1, at the SMX Convention in Pasay City.
The event showcased the unity and commitment of barangay leaders from provinces like La Union, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Mr. Province, Kalinga, Aurora, Tarlac, Bulacan, Zambales, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Quezon, Romblom, Mindoro Occidental, Mindoro Oriental, Marinduque, Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines, Norte, Masbate, and Iloilo.
In his speech, Go underscored his ongoing commitment to reinforcing the barangay officials’ role as the government’s frontline and the primary avenue through which the public can seek immediate assistance.
He further emphasized the importance to serve with compassion and show unconditional actions to help the Filipinos in need.
Go then acknowledged the presence of LNB officials, including LNB National President Jessica Dy, Provincial LNB Presidents and Board Members Sonny Cariño, Ramon Ortega, and Eric Castillo, Auditor Marcelino Fernandez, Cultural Advisor Rebecca Padilla, Ralph Jonnel Recto, Dennis Rojas, Shernan Cruz, Laddy Gemang, Echie Ponge, RJ Angara, Romeo Austria, Nestor Pacheco, and Atty. Claire Lim, among others.
Go also provided tokens to show appreciation to the barangay leaders in attendance. He also gave mobile phones, shoes, and other forms of assistance to select recipients.
Given his awareness of the difficulties barangay officials encounter in carrying out their everyday responsibilities as public servants, Senator Go has played a significant role in advocating for legislative measures to improve their welfare and capacities. These programs aim to honor their priceless efforts and improve the lives of volunteers and staff from barangays who have committed themselves to serving their communities.
