Crack PNP teams to go after civilians who will fire guns indiscriminately
CRACK Philippine National Police (PNP) teams have been fielded in Metro Manila and other parts of the country to go after civilians who will indiscriminately fire their guns as a way to celebrate New Year.
This is the warning of PNP chief General Benjamin Acorda Jr., who also warned those who will be caught firing guns indiscriminately will be slapped with stiff penalties such as lengthy jail terms.
Violators who will be found firing licensed firearms will be stripped of their gun privileges, including the License to Own and Possess Firearm, a gun license and a Permit-to-Carry-Firearm-Outside-of-Residence.
