The Pasay City regional trial court has issued warrants of arrest against seven Taiwanese nationals following their indictment for qualified theft.

In separate orders, Branch 108 Presiding Judge Albert Cansino has ordered any officer of the law to arrest Alexander Tang, Richard Liao, Molly Tseng, Cathy Chuang, Hunto Chang, Cheng Fong Long, and Jack Pang.

They are officers and employees of Chailease International Financial Services Ltd. Taiwan, with an office in Makati City.

The complaint against them was filed by CAPP Industries, Inc., a local logistics services provider, before the Office of Prosecutor in Pasay City, which in turn, indicted the respondents before the RTC last September.

In their complaint, CAPP Industries Inc. said the Taiwanese allegedly conspired with Thierry Yung Hann Tea (a.k.a. Thierry Tea), Geoffroy Cahen, Robert Reguero, and Matea Delen of Philjets Aero Charter Corp., and Lionel De Maupeou and Juha Pekka-Hoikka of Airbus Helicopters Philippines Inc., to allegedly take away a Airbus Helicopter H130 with registry number RPC

After finding probable cause, the Pasay RTC Branch 108 issued a warrant of arrest against the respondents on September 28, 2021. On October 4, 2021, the court issued a hold departure order to prevent them from leaving the country.

The Taiwanese respondents are still at large, prompting CAPP Industries Inc. to seek the help of Interpol for the possible extradition of all the foreign nationals, in cooperation with the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP/CIDG).
