
Cops probe death of Navy cadet in Zambales camp
POLICE are investigating the death yesterday of a Philippine Navy trainee at the Naval Educational Training and Doctrine Command (NETDC) grounds in Bgy. West Dirita, San Antonio, Zambales.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. identified the fatality as Adrian Asence, 26, a resident of 5 Pin St., Rodolfo Compound, Bgy. West Dirita, San Antonio municipality.
Asence and his other classmates were sitting on the training grounds and waiting for their training officer when he suddenly collapsed prompting other trainees to rush him to the NETDC Hospital.
Attending physician Dr. Maj. Iris Anne Santa Maria Parcon declared Asence dead upon arrival.
Scene of the Crime Office (SOCO) personnel has been requested by the family of Asence for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
