AUTHORITIES are hunting down a customer associate and his accomplice who allegedly stole a cash box from the LBC, the Outlets office in Lipa City, Batangas.

Lipa City Police Station chief Lt. Col Lory M. Tarrazona identified the suspect as Jan Emar Nuyles and his accomplice, a John Doe.

Tarrazona said the representative of LBC Lipa City outlet located at Bgy. San Lucas personally appeared at Lipa CPS and reported the incident.

It was reported that at about 12:40 p.m. on April 19, the suspect Nuyles left his duty as a customer associate of the said store, with the place unattended, to allegedly take lunch.

Police said the suspect returned to the office around 2:10 p.m. and discovered that the cash amounting to P603,891.33 inside the red cash box placed on the counter desk table was missing.

Initial investigation conducted revealed that Nuyles intentionally left the red cash box with the door of the said LBC office unlocked for one and a half hours which was observed as an obvious move and a blatant negligence on his part.

Based on the CCTV footage, one unidentified male suspect believed to be his cohort casually entered the said LBC office at about 1:20 p.m. and took the red box.

After the commission of the crime, the unknown culprit walked away heading towards the direction of Malvar, Batangas.
