Conti awarded ‘Natatanging San Pascualeno’

SAN PASCUAL, Batangas – Attorney Nicasio Conti was honored with the prestigious “Natatanging San Pascualeno” award during the 55th Founding Anniversary celebration of this municipality on August 3.

The recognition celebrates Conti’s outstanding contributions to the community and his exemplary service beyond the call of duty.

In his acceptance speech, Conti expressed his heartfelt gratitude and shared inspiring words with the attendees.

“Success is not measured by how far you have gone, but by how deeply you have impacted the lives of others,” he said.

“Today, on our 55th Founding Anniversary, I predict and firmly believe that San Pascual will become one of the strongest and most developed municipalities, not only in Batangas but in the entire Philippines,” he added.

Conti is a staunch advocate for good governance and anti-corruption. He led the government’s lifestyle check program and supported the Anti-Red Tape Law, contributing significantly to reducing corruption and improving efficiency.

He was pivotal in the ratification of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption and the author of “To Serve with Honor: A Primer Against Corruption” and other significant publications.

In his government career, Conti has held numerous significant positions. He served as the OIC of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) from April 2012 to May 2013, and as the spokesperson for the Department of Transportation and Communications during the same period.

From March 2010 to October 2015, he was the Deputy Administrator for Planning at MARINA and a Board member and chairman of the Technical Working Group at the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA). He also served as a Commissioner for both the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) from July 2005 to August 2008 and the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC) from September 2004 to July 2005.

Additionally, he served as Assistant Secretary at the Office of the President (Office of the Presidential Chief of Staff) from January 2003 to September 2004, and as a Legal Consultant for various government offices from 2001 to 2003.

He is now the president and CEO of Capstone Intel Corp and a founding partner at CGV and CGM Law Offices. He is also a radio host and former Economics Professor at San Beda College.
