ACT-CIS Representative and senatorial candidate Erwin Tulfo wants companies to give prayer breaks to their Muslim employees.

According to Cong.

Considering this situation, Tulfo said that once Congress opens in June, he intends to file a bill that would allow two prayer breaks to Muslim employees in their places of work, whether it be private or in government, during their eight hours of work.

The proposed bill would also include the provision for companies or agencies to provide a prayer room or a place where the Muslim employees could pray.

Tulfo said this was the request conveyed to him by some of his Muslim friends—to have a law allowing them to pray even during their working hours.

There are already some companies or agencies of government that grant prayer breaks for their Muslim workers particularly to Muslims in Mindanao provinces.
