Rico Blanco’s Liwanag sa Dilim staged next year
AFTER 9 Works Theatrical successfully ended its month-long musical, Once On This Island last weekend, the company announced its next venture in a new original musical, Rico Blanco’s Liwanag sa Dilim, to be staged in March 2025.
After the curtain call for the last performance of Once On This Island last Sunday, Rent actor Anthony Rosaldo mounted the stage and rendered Liwanag sa Dilim.
Anthony, who played Roger in Rent, is excited to originate a character in a new musical.
“I’m really looking forward to that challenge,” said Anthony. “9 Works Theatrical did a great staging of Rent, that’s why I know Liwanag sa Dilim will be awesome.”
Liwanag sa Dilim which features the songs of Rico Blanco, will have book and direction by Robbie Guevara.
