NOVELETA, Cavite – The Chua brothers of Cavite, allies with BBM-Sara UniTeam, have secured three elective posts in the recently held national and local elections.

Incumbent Mayor Dino Chua of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) Noveleta, Cavite, was already proclaimed the winner with 19,260 votes against his arch-rival former Mayor Enrico Alvarez with only 6,656 votes.

Dino is the eldest among the brothers. He is currently running for his third term in office.

In Cavite City, local Comelec (Commission on Elections) proclaimed the youngest among the Chua siblings, incumbent Vice Mayor Denver Chua.

He won by a landslide victory with 31,782 over his rival Cavite City Federation of Barangay Chairman President Apple Paredes, daughter of incumbent Mayor Bernardo “Totie” Paredes, who garnered only 24,240 votes.

Denver Chua toppled the 18 years reign of the Paredes clan, who ruled the city from 2001 to 2022.

“Apparently, with the large margin of votes that I got over my rival, it is very clear that people of Cavite City want ‘change’, and they are longing for a new breed of leadership,” said Denver Chua, the mayor-elect of Cavite City.

Meanwhile, Davey Chua was also proclaimed as the topnotcher provincial board member for the 1st district of Cavite.

He garnered the highest number of votes and margin over his rivals with 120,878 votes versus 65,340 by Rommel Enriquez.
