Christmas celebration in QC peaceful – QCPD
QUEZON City Police District (QCPD) director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan yesterday said that the celebration of Christmas in the entire city was generally peaceful with no single major untoward incident recorded.
Maranan recognized the joint efforts of the local government units (LGUs), church authorities, force multipliers, and other stakeholders who worked hand-in-hand with the QCPD in strengthening and tightening people’s vigilance against all forms of criminality.
He cited the nine-day stretch of Simbang Gabi or Dawn and Christmas Eve Masses where field officers and village safekeeping forces made good in securing church vicinities from lawless elements.
A total of 1,827 personnel from the district headquarters and police stations were deployed in places where people converged such as Church, transportation terminals, markets, malls, and other business establishments.
