Cessna plane overshoots runway at Plaridel Airport

A CESSNA 152 plane overshot at the end of the runway 35 of Plaridel Airport Saturday, July 13.
According to the initial report from the Plaridel Tower, an aircraft with the registration RP-C 5656, carrying a pilot and a student pilot, executed a bumpy landing on runway 17 and continued without decelerating until it reached runway 35. The aircraft attempted to initiate a missed approach but was unable to do so due to insufficient airspeed. Eventually, it surpassed the end of runway 35 and subsequently collided with both the perimeter fence and a nearby residential property.
Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting vehicle (ARFF) Plaridel promptly responded and provided immediate assistance to the pilots on board.
Onr of the pilots sustained only minor injuries, while the other was unharmed. There were also no occupants in the house affected during the incident.
CAAP’s Licensing and Certification Department (LCD) and Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board (AAIIB) will conduct separate investigations on the incident.
