Cellphone snatcher stabs 15-year-old victim dead
A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was stabbed dead by a snatcher in Lucena City, Quezon.
The victim was a resident of Sto. Rosario, Bgy. 4 in Lucena City.
An investigation showed the boy was walking on Merchan St., along with a fellow minor, when two suspects appeared and attempted to snatch the victim’s cellphone, which fell to the ground.
The suspects immediately left the area.
Seeing his cellphone damaged, the victim and his companion chased the suspects.
Upon reaching Edaño St. in Bgy 9, the victim and his friend cornered one of the snatchers and allegedly started to maul him.
Unknown to the two minors, the suspect was armed with a knife.
The suspect stabbed the 15-year-old victim in the chest then fled.
Witnesses rushed the young victim to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
