Carmona unveils holiday lights for Yuletide season
CARMONA, Cavite – The municipal government here welcomed the holiday season with the opening of the Christmas lighting at the municipal town plaza on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
Cavite 5th District Congressman Roy Loyola and his wife Carmona Mayor Dahlia A. Loyola and other local officials led the ceremonial lighting.
Mayor Loyola said in her message that the colorful LED (light-emitting diode) lights display symbolizes “moving forward toward progress” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Ang paglalagay po nang gayak at palamuti sa ating liwasang bayan ay isang hudyat na handang-handa na tayong bumalik at harapin ang ating buhay pagkatapos nang dalawang taon nang unos na ating pinagdaanan dulot ng COVID-19,” said the Carmona mayor.
“Atin pong itutuloy ang mga programa, serbisyo at inisyatibo na nasimulan natin ng mga nakaraang taon, sama-sama nating maabot ng Carmona ang mas matayong pang tagumpay sa mga susunod na panahon,” Mayor Loyola added.
Local artists such as the Carmona Youth Symphonic Band, Carmona Community Chorale, and Carmona Performing Arts Group performed at the event prepared by the Municipal Information, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (MITCAO).
