THE city government of Caloocan recently launched the new Livelihood and Skills Training Center for persons with disabilities (PWDs) as it continues to strengthen its identity as a safe and inclusive city under the leadership of reelectionist City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan.

For its inaugural programs, the new training center and its guest trainers provided free seminars for creating homemade bayongs or traditional woven bags, fabric conditioners, and liquid detergents, as well as a make-up skills demonstration.

Mayor Along commended all those who participated in the and expressed his hope that after the initial training, more PWDs will be encouraged to take part in the said program.

The local chief executive declared that under his governance, the city government will continue to acknowledge the skills, dedication, and desire of PWDs and other members of vulnerable sectors to make a living on their own.
