CAMP VICENTE LIM, Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna – The Police Regional Office 4-A (Calabarzon) has a new police director.

Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra is the new police chief in the Calabarzon region, replacing Brig. Gen. Eliseo Cruz, who has been promoted as Deputy Director for area police command in the Visayas.

Yarra acknowledged the achievements of his predecessors and the previous regional directors of the PRO-Calabarzon, who have done the most of the thinking and instituted into the PNP system.

“We don’t have to reinvent the wheel. What we should do is to improve on the actions they took to have better results,” he said.

Yarra, during the turn over ceremony held in this camp presided over by PNP for Operations Deputy Chief Lt Gen Israel Ephraim Dickson, presented his 4A’s ideals to the regional police personnel.

“As we work together starting today, let us embody the ideals of the PNP. We will do that by developing Aptitude, by taking Action, by having the right Attitude, and by facing Accountability. Encourage the local government officials and the communities you serve to join us in our quest to having a safer Calabarzon through the 4A’s,” Yarra said.

Prior to his designation as Calabarzon top cop, Yarra spent almost one third of his police career in the PRO-Calabarzon.

Yarra served as Chief Comptrollership in 2014, Quezon Police Provincial Director in 2016 and Deputy Regional Director for Administration in 2020.

After his stint in PRO-Calabarzon, he was assigned at the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) as Deputy Regional Director for Operations and Administration respectively.

In April 2021, he was designated as the District Director of the Quezon City Police District.

Yarra asked the entire Calabazon police force to join him in the journey guided by the 4A’s while building the culture of service, honor, and justice.

“As professional police officers, I believe that we all know what we ought to do. We should have the moral courage to stand for what is right and to uphold the rule of law,” he said.

Yarra is a member of PMA Class “Sambisig” of 1991.
