
Cabanatuan search operation yields guns, grenade, shabu
CABANATUAN CITY — The Nueva Ecija police nabbed two men and seized a cache of firearms and ammunition, including a hand grenade and illegal drugs worth P250,580, during a search operation conducted tin this city.
Nabbed were a 34-year-old man who was the subject of the search operation and another 46-year-old suspect, of Purok 3, Dulay Subdivision, Maria Aurora, Aurora.
City police head Lt. Col. Renato C. Morales said his men and the Provincial Intelligence Unit-NEPPO jointly implemented a search warrant on the premises of one of the arrested suspects in Purok 7, Culliaga, Bgy. Calawagan at 12 p.m., resulting in the successful operation.
Seized were a cache of firearms, consisting of a Taurus cal.45 pistol, a Colt cal.45 pistol, a cal.9mm Armscor pistol, a cal.45 Armscor pistol, a cal.22 rifle, an MK2 hand grenade, an unserviceable firearm of unknown caliber, and several assorted bullets for handguns.
Also confiscated were nine plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 36.85 grams worth P250,580.
