Butcher wanted for ‘rape’ falls in Bataan

CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – A 44-year-old butcher with a case of rape and two counts of sexual assault was arrested by joint operatives in Barangay Reformist Limay, Bataan, Provincial Police PIO chief Police Lieutenant Pauline P. Fernando said on Thursday.

A report by Batangas Police Director Col. Pedro D. Soliba to P/Brig. Gen. Jose Melecio C. Nartatez, Jr., PRO Calabarzon (Police Regional Office Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) director, the suspect was a resident of Mabini, Batangas.

Soliba said the accused was arrested based on an arrest warrant filed by Mabini Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with operatives of the Northern Police District (NPD)-District Special Operation Unit (DSOU), NPD Directorate for Investigation and Detection Management Division (DIDMD), NPD Directorate for Intelligence Division (DID), NCPS Intelligence Section, Intelligence Group, Limay Municipal Police Statuion-Bataan Police Provincial Office (PPO), Police Regional Office 3, and NPD DSOU at 8:10 p.m. on February 16, in Bgy. Reformista, Limay, Bataan.

The accused was named the “most wanted person” at the national level with a reward of P140,000 from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The arrested accused is currently in the custody of the Mabini MPS.

Soliba lauded the combined forces of the local police and said, “Good job for our police officers in this successful operation. The public is encouraged to continue to cooperate with the authorities so that people who hide from the law or anyone involved in illegal activities or crimes can be arrested.”
