THE Boy Scouts of the Philippines announced Thursday the new members of the National Executive Board, the policy-making body of the organization.

Agusan Del Norte Gov. Dale B. Corvera has replaced Roberto M. Pagdanganan, who sat as national president for two years.

Corvera was elected as regular member of the board during the BSP’s online 64th Annual National Council Meeting held in May.

Aside from the regular NEB officers, also elected were the 15 private sector representatives who will serve for one year. A regular member serves for four years.

Also elected were Emilio B. Aquino, senior vice president; Rep. Del R. de Guzman, vice president for Luzon; Francis Frederick P. Palanca, vice president for Visayas; Allan L. Rellon, vice president for Mindanao; Jimmy A. Ang, national treasurer; Cedrick G. Train, chief national commissioner; and Kenny Ralph S. Fernando, international commissioner.

Corvera is a decorated Scout leader.

He has served the BSP in various capacities: as member of the board and officer of Agusan del Norte Local Council, where he also served as chairman of the Local Coucil board.

Corvera is a Gold USA and Gold Tamaraw Awardee and had received a Gold Medal of Merit for services rendered to the Movement. He is a four-bead leader trainer, having passed rigid Wood Badge training. He served as International Commissioner of the BSP from 2002 until June 21, 2021, when he was elected to the board. He is an elected member of the World Organization of Scout Movement-Asia Pacific Region Scout Committee

As an elected official of Agusan del Norte, Corvera served as Municipal Council member of Cabadbaran in 1992-1995; Sangguniang Panglunsod of Province of Agusan del Norte in 1995-2004; Vice Governor in 2004-2007; Municipal Mayor of Municipality of Cabadbaran in June 2007-July 2007 and the City of Cabadbaran from July 2007 to 2016 before be became the governor of the province of Agusan del Norte.
