Bomb hoax rocks Ecija Hall of Justice
CABANATUAN CITY – Court proceedings were momentarily disrupted at the Hall of Justice building inside the old provincial capitol compound here after a local court received a bomb threat.
Judge Ana Marie C. Joson-Viterbo, of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 24 alerted authorities after receiving the bomb threat at 9:24 a.m.
The Nueva Ecija Provincial Explosive and Canine Unit (NE-PECU) immediately responded and ordered the evacuation of the Hall of Justice building in Bgy. Quezon District on Tuesday.
Police said the supposed bomb threat was received by Juaymah Viterbo, 36, criminal docket clerk, thru their cellphone hotline via a text message from a mobile phone number 0915-598-1792, which said: “May sasabog jan anomang oras wag niyo itong ipagsawalang bahala.” Ordnan e paneling and K-9 dog sniffing, showed it was just a “prank”.
