Birth control
THE Philippines needs to meet the food, medical and employment needs of the people.
And with the mushrooming number of Filipinos to feed, there’s that urgent need to slow down the birth rate in this Southeast Asian nation. Note that in the Philippines, women, including the country’s professionals, now prefer to use pills for birth control.
In fact, statisics show that the number of women using contraceptives rose to 8.6
This is ample proof that the use of pills is turning out to be the most popular method of birth control in the country.
The Commission on Population and Development (CPD) said the figure is higher than the 8.3 million in 2022.
Likewise, the increase reflects a remarkable progress in the empowerment of women in the country.
“We have come a long way, but we still have more work to do,” according to the CPD.
Tuloy-tuloy lang ang trabaho!
